Wilma Malicoat See, 90, of New Florence, MO, died on Sunday, September 27, 2020, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Wilma Malicoat See was born May 2, 1930, a daughter of Jesse and Kate Bryant Malicoat in Montgomery County, MO.

Wilma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montgomery City, MO. She assisted in the nursery and also taught the beginners Sunday School Class. After graduating from Montgomery County R-II High School she worked as a telephone operator until the company converted to dial phones. She also worked for Bob's Variety Store and Big Value Mart. She worked for New Florence Nursing Home, as a dietary aide, until she retired in 2014. Wilma enjoyed walking, reading, working crossword puzzles, and going to church.

Wilma was married to Buell West to which three children were born, Shelley, Sidney and Lana.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Kate Malicoat, one sister, Shirley Malicoat, and one grandson, Ben West.

Wilma is survived by one son, Sidney West and wife, Allison, of Montgomery City, MO; and two daughters: Shelley Hampton of Springfield, MO; and Lana Bailey of Montgomery City, MO; five grandchildren: Elly Beckman, Katie Aldersen, Karly Bailey, Natalie Hampton, and Brady Hampton, and great-children, Eden Andersen, Dax Hampton, Austin Aldersen, Kolton Rawlings and Journey Beckman. Also surviving is one brother, Robert Malicoat and wife, Jackie, one nephew, Mike Malicoat and wife, Linda, and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Rev. Brian Larkin will officiate and interment will be in the Wellsville City Cemetery in Wellsville, MO. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers include Cole Brower, Ross Brower, Eden Andersen, Daniel Aldersen, Michael Malicoat, and Brady Hampton. Honorary casketbearers include Phillip Schuckenbrock, Randy Hampton, Morgan Carter, Kaitlin Nelson, and Kenny Bailey.
