William " Bill" Vaughn Robinson, 70, of Jackson, MO, formerly of Montgomery City, MO, died on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at his home.

William Vaughn Robinson was born October 31, 1946 to Emmett Vincent Robinson and Delphia Lucille Wilson Robinson. He graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1964 and then entered into the Air Force Reserves and later the United States Army. Bill made his career in the military working for the Military Funeral Honors Program and had just retired on December 31, 2016. Bill worked most of the time but was a member of the American Legion and the Patriot Riders. When he had time off her enjoyed working puzzles; painting ceramics; and when his children were young he coached baseball and softball.   Bill loved spending time with his family and his friends.

Bill is survived by his children: Stacy Mittler and husband, Bruce, of Marthasville, MO; William C. Robinson and wife, Robbin, of St. Peters, MO; Michael S. Robinson and wife, Laura, of Troy, MO; Vincent W. Robinson and wife, Christina, of Eolia, MO; Ashleigh Robinson of Cape Girardeau, MO; and Alec Robinson of Highland, IL; ten grandchildren: Lydia, Justin, Garrett, Zachary, Zoey, Lilly, Mya, Kaila,Jaclyn, and Brentley; and one great-grandchild that will be born in September. Also surviving is his brother, James Baker Robison and wife, Padi, of San Antonia, TX; two sisters: Judy Ruth Holmes and husband, Dexter, of Semmes, AL; and Susan Marie Gilbert and husband, Mont, of Montgomery City, MO; sister-in-law: Carol Ann Robinson of New Haven, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett Vincent Robinson and Delphia Lucille Wilson Robinson; grandson, Joseph Dean Robinson; and brother, Dean Robinson.

Funeral services were be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Mr. Jim Stokes officiated and interment with full military honors was in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included the Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program Team. Honorary Casketbearers included Jeff Howard, Garrett Mittler, Justin Mittler, Zachary Robinson, Nick Bakameyer, and Bruce Mittler.
