Willard Henry Finnell, 85, of Tightwad, MO, died on Monday, December 18, 2017, at the New Florence Care Center in New Florence, MO, after an extended period of respiratory problems.

Bill was born August 31, 1932 to John Finnell and Mary Ellen (Sullivan) Finnell. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving on the USS Piedmont from 1949 until 1955. In 1956 he began his career with A. O. Smith Harvestore until he retired in 1996.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Janice K. (Downey) Finnell.

Bill enjoyed visiting with all his friends and family. Bill was a loving man and will be missed by many.

Bill is survived by his five children: Debra Bruns and husband, George, of St. Louis, MO; Cyndie Sorensen of Cape Coral, FL; Billy Finnell of Centennial, CO; Brenda Vanderneck and husband, Vince, of West Des Moines, IA; and Chuck Finnell and wife, Jo, of Pruneville, CA. Also surviving is his twin brother, Walter Finnell and many Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Finnell was cremated and there will be a memorial planned at a later date.
