Wanda Jean (Gruber) Robinson, 93, of Montgomery City, MO died on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the home of her grandson, Ryan Hadden and wife Stacy Hadden. Wanda was born on November 18, 1931 in New Florence, MO to Elijah C. Gruber and Katherine Mary Korman Gruber. She was a part of the large Gruber family consisting of 10 girls and 5 boys. Wanda married Clifford Don Robinson on her 18th birthday, November 18, 1949 in Hermann, MO and together they shared over 66 years of a wonderful marriage. They lived in Gamma, MO, from 1959 until 1993, when they moved to Montgomery City, MO. Wanda was a member of the First United Methodist -Presbyterian Church, enjoyed square dancing with the "Squircle 8's," snow-birding for 20 years in Texas and Arizona, Playing cards with friends, attending the Montgomery County Senior Center lunches (especially on Bingo day), and watching her 7 great grandchildren grow up.
Wanda is survived by her two grandchildren: Ryan Patrick Hadden and wife Stacy (Burch) Hadden of Montgomery City, MO, and Erin Celeste Hadden of New Florence, MO; her 7 great grandchildren: Juanita Grace Hadden of Overland Park, KS; Ava Rebecca Monsen, Harper Belle Monsen, and Drake Alan Monsen of New Florence, MO; Vivian Rebecca Hadden of Montgomery City, MO; Lydia Kay Murray of New Florence, MO; and Patrick Ryan Hadden of Montgomery City, MO; She is also survived by three sisters: Mildred "Mit" Brandenburg, Patricia "Dink" Aguilar, and Donna Devlin; two brothers: Henry "Pat" Gruber and Bill Gruber.
She was preceded in death by her parents Elijah and Katherine; her husband, Clifford Don Robinson; her daughter, Rebecca Sue Hadden; son-in-law, Patrick Hadden; six sisters: Bernice Brandenburg, Alice Pearl Gruber, Delores "Bonnie" Uphoff, Mary "Marie" Elizabeth Gruber Snarr, Margaret "Mart" Etter, Ester Blom; three brothers: Elijah "Bud" Gruber, Stephen Paul "Mike" Gruber, and John Gruber.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 2pm-4pm at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO with funeral services to follow directly at 4pm officiated by Mr. Mike Brandenburg.
