Trudy Jean Riddle, 72, of Montgomery City, MO, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021 at her home in Montgomery City, MO. She was born August 16, 1948 in Fulton, Missouri to George Eldon and Doris Mae Phillippe. Trudy was a graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia with a Bachelor's Degree in education, she later completed a Master's Degree in education. Education was a lifelong pursuit for Trudy. She began teaching in the Montgomery County R-II district in 1970 and retired in 2003 after 33 years, she continued subbing in the district until 2020, completing 50 years in education.

Travel was another lifelong passion, starting on road trips with her family as a child and continuing through trips with her own son, Kyle, later in life. During her life she visited 48 states, Mexico, Canada, and Europe. Trudy spent time volunteering at the Montgomery County Genealogical Society, Missouri State Retired Teacher's Association and was a member of the GFWC Women's Club. Trudy was also fond of spending time with her family and enjoyed doing family research.

Trudy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son, Kyle Riddle; brother, Gary Phillippe and sister-in-law, Vicki; nieces, Stacey Gilmore and Casey Collier; nephew, Jared Phillippe; and twelve great-nieces and great-nephews.

PRIVATE funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Interment will be in the Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO. Casketbearers include Joe, Mica and Matt Gilmore and Wil, Max and J.C. Collier.
