Susan "Susie" Ann Ryan, 73, of New Florence, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Aspire Senior Living in New Florence, Missouri.

Susie was born on December 26, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Matthew Ryan and Martha Frances (McClendon) Ryan. She spent her early childhood years in St. Louis before moving with her parents to Montgomery City, Missouri.

On December 11, 1994, Susie became a resident at Aspire in New Florence, where she lived for the remainder of her life. Aspire was more than a home to her—it was her family. The residents and staff held a very special place in her heart, and she in theirs.

Susie was known for her ever-present smile and her kind, generous spirit. She had many, many sisters—though not by blood—as everyone was her "sis." She was always willing to help anyone in need and gave freely of her time, care, and love. Susie enjoyed reading romance novels, playing games on her tablet, and watching Hallmark movies. She was a loving person with a heart of gold who touched countless lives through her warmth and compassion.

She is survived by her best friend, Kathleen Hayes (Mike) of Chicago, Illinois; friends who were like sisters, Rose O'Keefe (Steve Fay) of Middletown, Missouri, and Samantha Rose and family of Jonesburg, Missouri; as well as the many employees and friends at Aspire who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew and Martha Ryan; her brother, Patrick Ryan; her uncle, Charlie Vincent; and her aunt, Alice "FooFoo" Vincent.

Susie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery, where Susie will be laid to rest alongside her parents and brother.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Aspire Senior Living in New Florence, Missouri.
