Stanley Dale Hemeyer, 73, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Monday, March 12, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO.

Stanley Dale Hemeyer was born July 23, 1944 in Hermann, MO, to Marvin Hemeyer and LaVerne Keller Hemeyer. He graduated from Hermann High School in Hermann, MO, in 1962 and then graduated from Linn Tech Automotive Mechanic Program in Linn, MO. He was a Veteran of the Missouri Army National Guard. Mr. Hemeyer married Patricia Greenwell in Wright City, MO, on December 23, 1977, and they shared over 40 wonderful years together.

Mr. Hemeyer worked as a mechanic for Kribs Ford of St. Louis and Hermann Ford. He then worked for the pipeline company in Big Spring, MO. In the early 1970's he found his true passion which was farming. He farmed for over 30 years in Montgomery County before retiring. He worked hard maintaining the farms he had and took great pride in the work he did. He was a member of the Montgomery City Lion's Club serving a time as President; was on the State MFA Board as well as the local MFA Board. He enjoyed hunting, trotline fishing, and working in his shop on projects. He often gave free advice to his children and to others. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Hemeyer is survived by his wife, Patricia Greenwell Hemeyer; three children: Jeffrey Hemeyer and Lisa Yelton; Todd Hemeyer and wife, Jamie; and Cheri Hemeyer, all of Montgomery City, MO; six grandchildren: Chelsey, Hannah, Mason, Kara, Reaghan, and Jose; his nephew, Craig Hemeyer, niece, Julie Schowe; and numerous friends.

Mr. Hemeyer was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and LaVerne Keller Hemeyer; and his brother, Myron Hemeyer.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Ed Hankinson officiated and interment with full military honors was in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO.  Casketbearers included Mason Hemeyer, Craig Hemeyer, Brent Schowe, Josh Johnson, Frank Stuermann, Steve Bockting, Marvin Miller and Eric Harness.  Honorary casketbearers included Jeffrey Hemeyer, Todd Hemeyer, and Jose Hemeyer.
