Shannon Earl Hawkins, 42, of Bellflower, MO, departed this life on December 1, 2016 at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO, after a brief illness.
Shannon was born March 10, 1974 in Hermann, MO, to Robert Earl Hawkins and Joyce Ann Colbert Hawkins. Shannon was a logger and worked very hard until his health started to decline. Shannon loved the outdoors, playing the guitar, wood carving, writing poetry, drinking with his friends, and family get togethers. Shannon lived his life as he chose, be it wrong or right, but he had a heart of gold. Shannon's love for Candi was unconditional, he would do anything for her. Shannon had a close bond to several of his nieces and nephew. Anthony always called him "Unk" and they were coffee buddies and spent a lot of time together and his two nieces, Lacey and Ellie, were very special to him also.
Shannon is survived by his mother, Joyce Hawkins of Bellflower, MO; his fiancée, Candi Kolbusch of Bellflower, MO; daughter, Karli Hawkins of Warrenton, MO; and two sons: Jimmy Hawkins and Levi Hawkins of Millstadt, IL. Also surviving is one sister, JoAnn Turner of Bellflower, MO; three brothers: Kyle "Newly" Hawkins and wife, Carmen, of Bellflower, MO; Bo Lansche and wife, Shelley, of High Hill, MO; and Jeff Lansche and friend, Nancy, of Montgomery City, MO; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
Shannon was preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Hawkins and grandmother, Viola Colbert.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Bellflower Community Building in Bellflower, MO, from 11 AM until 3 PM.
