Samantha Jo Mohundro Hazelwood, 36, of Mexico, MO, died very unexpectantly on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.

Samantha Jo Mohundro Hazelwood was born August 9, 1984 in Thousand Oaks, CA, to Thomas Mohundro and Marilyn Wood Mohundro Hall.  She was married to John Hazelwood on October 23, 2013.  Samantha was the hospitality clerk at the front desk at the Best Western Hotel in Mexico, MO.  She loved her job and the people she worked with were her second family.  Samantha attended Reach Church in Montgomery City and she Loved God.  She also enjoyed crafting and making cakes.  She will be missed by her family and friends.

Samantha is survived by her husband, John Hazelwood of Mexico, MO; three children: Summer, John, Jr., and Austin Hazelwood; her Father, Thomas Mohundro of Mexico, MO; Mother, Marilyn Wood Mohundro Hall of the State of Washington; Mother-in-law, Debbie Hazelwood of Montgomery City, MO; sister, Rebecca Dallas of Mexico, MO; Brother, Daniel Mohundro of the State of Washington; and by several nieces and nephews, including Ellie, Tyler, and Gwen.

Samantha was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Mary Mohundro and Grandfather, Clarence Wood.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
