Ruth E. Lauer Reagan Huenefeld, 92, of Washington, MO, formerly of Montgomery City, MO, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at The Arbors at Victorian Place of Washington, MO.

Ruth E. Lauer Reagan Huenefeld was born October 7, 1927 in New Florence, MO, to Frank Lauer and Bertha Timmerberg Lauer. She graduated from Montgomery City High School in 1945. She married Paul E. Reagan Jr. on November 25, 1948 and later married Leo Huenefeld on May 24, 1980, they both preceded her in death. Mrs. Huenefeld had worked as the City Clerk of Wellsville, MO and also was a cook at Wellsville R-I Schools. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Montgomery City, MO and a member of the Montgomery County Historical Society. Mrs. Huenefeld was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan and an avid quilter. She loved spending time with her family and her many friends and will be dearly missed.

Mrs. Huenefeld is survived by her children: Paula Sue Reagan of Washington, MO; and Ronald Wayne Reagan and wife, Julie, of Newburg, MO; step-son, Alan Huenefeld and wife, Carolyn, of Montgomery City, MO; and step-daughter, Debbie Stein of Branson, MO. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kristen Reagan; Ryan Reagan and wife, Rachael; and Dusten Reagan and fiancée, Zoe Wilson; step-grandchildren: Marlena Renner and husband, Andy; Jason and Jamie Huenefeld; and Audra Rodgers and husband, Patrick; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bertha Lauer; husbands, Paul E. Reagan, Jr. and Leo Huenefeld; two brothers, Gilbert Lauer and wife, Joyce and Glennon Lauer and wife, Selma; step-son-in-law, Joe Stein; and step-grandson, Joshua Huenefeld.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend William Debo will officiate and interment will be in the Wellsville City Cemetery in Wellsville, MO. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 8 AM until the time of service at the Church. Casketbearers will include Ryan Reagan, Dusten Reagan, Alan Huenefeld, Mike Lauer, Chris Lauer and Brenden Lauer. Honorary casketbearer will include Kristen Reagan.
