Russell Wayne Mahaney was called home on March 8, 2016 at the age of 50.

Russell was born November 24, 1965 to Janice Marie (Jacks) Mahaney. He was well known and loved by everyone in the community. He was full of life and was always the life of a party. Russell loved to socialize and would often stop to visit friends in the neighborhood. He loved being around family and friends. He didn't have any children of his own, but he has a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that Russell loved deeply.

Russell is survived by his Mother, Janice Marie (Jacks) Mahaney of Montgomery City, MO; one Aunt, Dorothy (Jacks) Thomas of Montgomery City, MO; two sisters: Diane Jacks of Sacramento, CA and Tammy Mahaney of Kirkwood, MO; and one brother, Carl David Mahaney and wife, Mayetta, of Columbia, MO.

Russell's life ended way too soon and we will miss him deeply.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Ayanna Shivers officiated and interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12:30 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Floyd Mahaney, Cameron Mahaney, Willie Blanchard, Enoch Cole, Carl Mahaney, James Blair and Randy Hall.
