Roy Louis Boone, 83, of rural Montgomery City, MO, died on Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Roy Louis Boone was born October 31, 1936 in High Hill, MO, to Harvey Lee Boone and Hazel Marie Turner Boone. He was a graduate of Montgomery County R-II High School and married Patty Sue See on June 13, 1959 in Montgomery City, MO, and have been happily married for over 60 wonderful years. Mr. Boone farmed for nearly 40 years and also retired from Boeing after working there for over 34 years as a sheet metal riveter. Mr. Boone was a member of the Old Thresher's Association, a member of the First Baptist Church in Montgomery City, MO, enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and mowing. He loved to visit with all his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Boone will be dearly missed.

Mr. Boone is survived by his wife, Patty Sue See Boone of Montgomery City, MO; his children: Jim Boone and wife, Kanesha, of Fulton, MO; Kathy Markus of Kansas City, MO; Jerry Boone and wife, Kim, of Montgomery City, MO; and Russell Boone and wife, Shannon, of Montgomery City, MO; twenty grandchildren; and thirty-seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers: Floyd Boone and wife, Harriett, of Lubbock, TX and Ralph Boone of Coventry, RI; sisters-in-law: Joan Boone of Montgomery City, MO; Doris Boone of O'Fallon, MO; Elva Hollensteiner of Montgomery City, MO; Donna Riddle of Montgomery City, MO; Venus Hupe of Montgomery City, MO; Judy Henke of the St. Louis, MO, area; and Linda See of O'Fallon, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Boone was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Lee Boone and Hazel Marie Turner Boone; a daughter, Connie Boone; brothers: Raymond Boone and Arlie Boone; and sisters: Ruby Lauer and Marie Frye.

Funeral services were at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Montgomery City, MO. Interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Brandon Boone, Mike Boone, Isaiah Mackley-Boone, James Boone, Rico Zaldivar and Keith Lauer.
