Ronald Dale Huggins, 70, of New Florence Missouri passed away on October 27th 2026 at his home.

Ron was born April 28, 1956 and was raised by his loving mother, Helen Ruth (Gretzschel) Huggins and his father Andrew Huggins.

Throughout his life, Ron was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, and the love he truly shared with everyone around him.

Ron enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. He was an avid gardener who took pride in growing things, especially his fruit trees. He loved watching the hummingbirds visit his yard, spending time fishing, barbecuing and riding his lawn tractor cutting the grass. Some of his favorite moments were the quiet ones spent at home with his Beloved wife Judy watching Dr. David Jeremiah (Pastor), the History Channel and The Price is Right together.

For many years, Ron worked as a Teamsters Union member as an over-the-road truck driver. He took great pride in his work, which earned him The Million Mile Safe Driving Award, a testament to his dedication, skill and commitment to safety.

But perhaps what Ron will be remembered for most was his enormous heart and the love he had for others. He never hesitated to offer a hug to his family and friends in which he earned the nickname “Huggy Bear” by his best friend.

Ron loved his music. He started playing when he was a teenager. He started as a sound man and moved up to playing a base guitar. He loved to sing high harmony. His last band FLYTE is still together and plays around the Wentzville area. Ron’s last time was playing in church. He found a lot of joy there.

He was proud of his children and grandchildren and their successes. He also enjoyed the friendships that were established throughout his life. His hugs, kindness and loving spirit left an impression on all who knew him.

Above all else, Ron loved Jesus. His faith was the foundation of his life, and his relationship with the Lord meant more to him than anything in the world. He was a devoted Christian who never missed an opportunity to share his love for Jesus with others. His faith was not simply something he believed, it was something he lived every day. He wanted others to know the same love, grace and salvation that meant so much to him. His favorite encouragement was “Keep your eyes on Jesus”. His favorite Bible verse, John 3: 16 & 17.

Ron’s life was a reflection of the love he carried in his heart. Whether he was sharing a hug, tending to his garden, watching the hummingbirds, driving the open roads or talking about his Savior. He found joy in the things that meant the most.

Ron is survived by his wife Judy (Bundy) Huggins, his children Jason Huggins of St. Louis, MO., Kevin (Amanda) Huggins of Moscow Mills, MO., grandchildren; Landon Huggins, Connor Huggins, Bryce Huggins, Carlie Pogue, Carter Pogue. Step-children; Stephen (Karen) Bujnak, of St. Louis, MO., Scott (Liz) Bujnak of High Ridge, MO., Bonus daughter Amanda (Joe) Gruver of Arkansas, Trista Gruver and Bonus grandchildren; Anthony Siglieto, Carly Bujnak, Ella Bujnak, Rachel Bujnak, Autumn Gruver, Henry Gruver and Jack Gruver.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, at the Faith Christian Family Church in Truesdale, Missouri.
