Robyne Renee Morton Mahaney, 57, of Mexico, MO died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at her home.

Robyne Renee Morton Mahaney was born September 23, 1962 in Columbia, MO, to Lonell Morton and Susie Mozee Parks. She worked at Crown Linen in Mexico, MO and enjoyed playing Bingo, listening to her music, and going to White Castle. Robyne loved her boys with all her heart, her five heartbeats. She found joy in the love and laughter of her grandchildren. Robyne was a very loving and caring person and invited anyone into her home as her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Robyne "Niecey" Renee Mahaney blessed this world on September 23, 1962. A mother, wife, sister, friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love. Paraphrasing words of Holly Shahan: "What I remember is a countless number of interactions with her when we were younger cheering louder than anyone else at every game. Not just for "her" boys but all of her boys. She was everyone's mom that ever needed one in those days…"Described as the NEIGHBORHOOD-MOM, she welcomed all into her family circle with love, grace and when necessary TOUGH love. Far from being a millionaire yet the endless love and acceptance she gave beyond her immediate family will echo throughout time. In the halls of a tiny home on 806 Chestnut you would find this powerful woman displaying her might as she set the standard for her boys to grow into men. Her bill of work will reign longer than her physical presence as the memories and lesson rest deep within the hearts and souls she impacted over her life. As we all gather here in celebration of the NEIGHBORHOOD-MOM, may we all remember love is free yet has a priceless impact when we share it with and through one another. Carry this lesson and her memories with you, so her legacy moves on with you and through you.

Robyne is survived by her husband, James Mahaney; children: James Henderson (Shaytona); Terry Morton; Jerrell Morton (Gina); Darren Morton (Kera); Jermey Mahaney (Melissa) and Reggie Ramey; bonus children: Courtney Reid and Kita Floyd and numerous other special ones; 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are her siblings: Eddie Mozee, Anthony Wilson, and Joe Morton; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Robyne was preceded in death by her parents, Lonell Morton and Susie Mozee Parks; grandchildren: Quency Floyd and Justice Morton; and siblings: Deborah Wilson, Ethel Mathews, and Oliver Morton.
