Robert "Bob" William Henke

Robert "Bob" William Henke, 81, of Windsor, MO, formerly of Montgomery City, MO, died on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Windsor Health Care in Windsor, MO.

Robert William Henke was born on October 3, 1939 in Florissant, MO, to Lawrence Henry Henke and Hilda Pottebaum Henke.  He graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1957 and then served in the Missouri National Guard.  He married Judy See on November 17, 1962 and to this union five children were born.  Bob was a truck driver for Burggrabe Truck Lines until he retired.  He moved to Frostproof, FL, and returned to Missouri, when his health started to decline.  Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, playing cards, working in his garden, mowing and bowling. He was a member of the Immaculate Catholic Church and loved visiting with his family and friends.

Mr. Henke is survived by his children: David Henke and wife, Heidi, of O'Fallon, MO; Bill Henke of O'Fallon, MO; Paul Henke and wife Pam of St. Charles, MO; Mary Roth and husband, Edgar of Windsor, MO; and Susan Tran and husband, Dieu of Wildwood, MO; grandchildren: Austin and wife, Katie, Alex, Chayse, Riley, Brittany and husband, Austin, Mackenzie, Lane, Levi, Emma, Lucas and Ethan great-grandchildren: Cruz and Ryder; brothers and sisters: Alice Simmons and husband, Milt of Kansas City, MO and Lawrence "Larry" Henke and wife, Eileen of Pleasant Hill, MO, sisters-in-law, Kay Henke, of Mokane, MO and Debbie Henke of Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Henke was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Henry and Hilda Pottebaum Henke; brothers, James Henke, Gerald Henke, Kenneth Henke and John Henke; and a grandson, Dylan Henke.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
