Robert A. Hopper, formerly of Kingdom City, passed away on January 19, 2018. Robert was born January 21, 1929, in Valley Park, Missouri, to Jerry C. and Virginia O. (Turpin) Hopper. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Shirley A. Blackburn on March 6, 1955. Robert worked most of his career for Wise Bros., Inc., as a mechanic and farm manager. He was a member of Old Auxvasse Nine Mile Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon and elder.

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Gary (Carol) Hopper of Mineola and Kent (Christi) Hopper of Columbia and a daughter, Karen (Ev) Nelson of Wentzville; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Richard, Jerry (Gene), Charles, and Virginia (Sis); and a great-grandson, Malaki.

Schlanker Funeral Home of Montgomery City is coordinating the arrangements. Visitation will be held at Old Auxvasse Nine Mile Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg on Sunday, January 21, 2018 beginning at 1:00 PM followed by funeral services at 3:00 PM..
