Richard Lee Percy, 80, of Bellflower, MO, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at his home surrounded by family.
Richard Lee Percy was born July 11, 1940 in Bellflower, MO, to John Percy and Alberta Sievert Percy. He was a graduate of Montgomery County R-II High School, Class of 1958 and later married Janet Gregory on August 31, 1958 in Bellflower, MO. They were happily married for over 62 wonderful years. In 1967 the Percy's moved to Indio, CA where he worked for various construction companies and trucking companies. His last and most loved was Classic Transport, until they moved back to Bellflower in 2003. Mr. Percy was a member of the Bellflower Presbyterian Church, was a great welder and mechanic, loved to search for, find and restore old tractors, and loved to just tinker. He enjoyed visiting with all his family and many friends.
Mr. Percy is survived by his wife, Janet Gregory Percy, of rural Bellflower, MO; children: Louis E. Percy of Bellflower, MO; Donald W. Percy and wife, Irma (Rincon), of Indio, CA; and Cheryl M. Percy Crawford and husband, Barry, of Cathedral City, CA; grandchildren: Justin Percy and wife, Malwine, Nicole Percy Weigert and husband, Julian, Jonathan Percy, and Nicole Percy Bradford and husband, Lee, Jacob Percy, Jason Percy and wife, Kaitlyn, Douglas Percy, Brittany Crawford and Webby Revet, Wyatt Crawford; great-grandchildren: Juley and Josie Percy, Bryan, Jr., Maxim, Sophie, Liam and Jason Weigert, James and Matthew Bradford, Luke, Bryce, Gauge and Maverick Percy, Jace, Max, Ava and Aria Percy, Madelyn Percy, Jude, and Jolie Revet. Also surviving is his step-brother, Floyd Cronen and wife, Elsie, of Bellflower, MO; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mildred Clark Percy of rural Bellflower, MO; Charles A. Gregory and wife, Sandy, of Wentzville, MO; Linda Gregory Nation and husband, Richard, of Sanford, FL; Patricia Gregory Clark and husband, James, of Orange Park, FL; his faithful dog, "Cooter", and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Percy was preceded in death by his parents, John Percy and Alberta Sievert Percy; son, Clinton "Clint" Dale Percy; daughter-in-law, Rosalie Percy; Grandparents, Daniel and Clara Sievert; brother, William "Bill" Percy, and three step-sisters: Mary Bauer, Kate and Helen Cronen.
Mr. Percy was cremated and there will not be any services at this time.
