Ralph "Butch" Edwin Fisher, 73, of Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, at his home.
Butch was born in St. Charles, Missouri, on March 22, 1950, to Ralph Joseph Fisher and Ruth Schindler. In his younger years, he was a member of the Assumption Parish and he attended the Assumption Catholic School until the 8th grade, after which he began at the public high school. After graduating high school, he completed one year of technical college for mechanics. On May 29, 1999, he married Delores "Jeanie" Jean Craven, in Mineola, Missouri.
Butch loved all things hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was a member of the Missouri Trapper's Association for many years and he was very fond of it. Several years back, Butch also belonged to a Black Powder Muzzleloader Club, which he was recently getting back into. The land and wildlife brought many stories, friends, and days of joy to Butch and he was proud to be a part of its conservation, he was a devoted Missouri outdoorsman.
Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife, Jeanie Fisher of the home; his loving children and grandchildren: Jeremy (Katya) Fisher, and their children Lindynn and Sage, all of Monument, CO, Jonathan Joseph Fisher of Jefferson City, MO, Jordan David Fisher of Hannibal, MO, Jessi Isabel-Bess Fisher, and her son Chase Fisher, both of St. Peters, MO, Brandon James Fisher of Montgomery City, MO, Cody Tyler (Rachael) Fisher, and their children Hazel and Logan, all of Middletown, MO; Stepchildren and grandchildren: Lori Meyers, and her children Austin and Kelsi Meyers, all of Wentzville, MO, Jason Kurtz of Columbia, MO, Aaron (Sandy) Gilbert, and their daughter Kalli Gilbert, all of Montgomery City, MO, Adam (Victoria) Gilbert, and their children Natalie and Nathan, all of Fulton, MO, grandchildren, Lola and John Kurtz; siblings: Ruth Ann Brooks of O'Fallon, MO, Rick Fisher of Wright City, MO, and Ron Fisher of O'Fallon, MO.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Joseph and Ruth Fisher, and his stepson, Aaron Kurtz.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM at the New Florence Community Building in New Florence, Missouri.
