Patrick William Zumwalt, 66, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Thursday, May 6, 2021, at his home the result of an accident.

Patrick William Zumwalt was born on December 8, 1954 in Mexico, MO, to Frank Zumwalt and Evelyn Louise Lauer Zumwalt.  He graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1973 and attended El Camino Community College in CA.  Pat was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving from February 2, 1974 until February 2, 1978.  He married Dianna Lynn Korman on April 11, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada and have been married for over 23 wonderful years.  After leaving the Military he was a project manager for Hitachi Data Systems.  Pat was a member of the of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Montgomery City, MO, was a former Post Commander for the Montgomery VFW Post 4436; a member of the Kustom  and Klassic Car Club; and enjoyed restoring old cars and tractors.  He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.

Patrick William Zumwalt is survived by his wife, Dianna Lynn Korman Zumwalt of Montgomery City, MO; children: Samantha Michelle Brooks and Levon Ingram, of Vienna, MO and Lindsey Brooks and Darren Brookman of Montgomery City, MO; Grandchildren: Makayla, Carson, Lilli, and Liam; Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Tommy Joe Korman and Norma Lou Ward Korman of High Hill, MO; Sisters:  Kathy Coleman of Owensville, MO; and Cynthia "Cyndy" Vilcek and husband, Rick of St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law, Linda Zumwalt of Jacksonville, FL and Linda Cuno and husband, Gary of Montgomery City, MO; brother-in-law, Dennis Korman and wife, Margie of Austin, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  And his two grand-dogs, Willy and Waylon.

Patrick William Zumwalt was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Evelyn Zumwalt; son, Shaun Christopher Sturgeon; two brothers: James and Reita Zumwalt and Larry Zumwalt; and sister, Delores Marshall.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.  Interment with Military Honors will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.  Casketbearers include Jim Stumbaugh, Rick Vilcek, Danny Green, Danny Oquist, Joe Elfrink, and Darren Brookman.
