Michael Paul Stiles, 67, of Montgomery City, MO, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2016, at 4:40 AM at the Big Spring Care Center in Humansville, MO.

Michael Paul Stiles was born to Ralph and Blanche Elliott Stiles on October 24, 1948 in Fairbury, Illinois and precedes them in death. His family consists of three sisters: Blanche Rose, Jenny Cross and Mary Meritt. He has four half-sisters: Rose Tolliver, Juanita Ransdell, Helen Wunder and Christy Stiles. His Brothers: Ralph Stiles and Jackie Stiles, Jimmy Stiles, Wane Stiles, and Thomas Stiles preceded him in death. He has three children: Paula Michele Skelton, Michele Stiles Gal, and Shane Patrick Madson. He also has seven grandchildren: Kevin and Cassandra Gal, Michele's children; and Taylor and Andrew Metcalf, Mykayla Hill, who are Shane's Children; and Paula's children are Tabetha McBride and Ruth Garcia. He also has nine great-grandchildren which belong to Tabetha and Ruth.

Michael called his home Montgomery City, Missouri. There he married Brenda Fern Hobbs (still living in Jefferson City, MO) February 3, 1968 and had two children, Michele and Shane; they were divorced in 1981. He then married Alice Groeber Burch Stiles in 1983, she died April 13, 1999 due to cancer complications. His last marriage was in July of 2014, to Mildred Blake whom lived with him in his home, she passed away October 1, 2015 due to cancer complications.

Michael graduated from Lincoln Community High School and moved to Missouri and was a member of the 3202 Carpenter's Local Union in Warrenton, MO and was an officer in the Carpenter's Union. He always was a person who never turned down the opportunity to work. He built many family homes in and around Montgomery City, and never said no to anyone about construction. He also worked on the Montgomery County Fair Board and was a former member of the Lion's club, he also worked as a carpenter on the Nuclear Power Plant in Reform and had at times owned his own business helping many people throughout Montgomery and surrounding towns. All of his life he lived to provide for his family the best way he knew how. He would even provide by hunting and fishing which he loved to do very much.

He was a member of the St. Johns's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO, he served two terms on St. John's Church Council, and also spent two summers going to Hati to build churches on mission trips.

Funeral services were held at noon on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Don Deeker officiated and interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery where he was laid to rest next to his wife, Alice. Visitation was held on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Clifford Hobbs, Arlie Boone, Dennis Reagan, Troy Reagan, Kevin Gal and Dean Rose. Honorary casketbearers included Stan Carroz, Bob Reagan, Clint Boone and Jeff Nichols.
