Michael "Mike" Edward Rose, 47, of Montgomery City, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in the state of Illinois.

Mike was born on February 13, 1975, in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of Gary Allen Rose and Barbara Ann (Holmes) Rose. He graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1993 and went on to get a college degree from ITT Technical Institute. While he was attending ITT Technical Institute he made a video game. Mike worked at Independent Stave Company in New Florence, Missouri, for 27 years as a product inspector.

He loved guns, from going shooting to growing his personal collection, and everything in between. Along with guns, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mike was a die hard Raiders fan. Above all else, Mike loved his children. Tim, Brayden, and Ann were his greatest joy in life and proudest achievement.

Michael is survived by his three children: Tim Rose of Montgomery City, MO, Brayden Rose of Montgomery City, MO, and Ann Rose of Montgomery City, MO; five siblings: Nancy Leonard of Mexico, MO, Terrie (John) Davis of High Hill, MO, David Leonard of Columbia, MO, Lisa Leonard of Montgomery City, MO, and Beverly Yeast of Mexico, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Rose was preceded by his parents, Gary Allen and Barbara Ann Rose; paternal grandparents, Harry and Emogene Rose; and maternal grandparents, Howard and Mary Holmes.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Luke Wolters will officiate the service.

Honorary Casketbearers include Tim Rose, Brayden Rose, Clifford Glass, Kevin Bufka, Wayne Ramo, and Jamie Oelschlaeger.
