Mary Katherine Cunningham Clawson, 97, of Hazelwood, MO, died on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.

Mary Katherine Cunningham Clawson was born January 21, 1921 in Montgomery City, MO, to Charles F. Cunningham and Katherine Reagan Cunningham. She married Austin Clawson on December 26, 1940 and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2006. She retired from the Civil Service in 1988. Mrs. Clawson was of the Catholic Faith, she enjoyed reading murder mysteries, quilting, traveling, playing the piano, horse racing, listening to music, especially the Blues, Jazz and Big Band; and a big fan of Mizzou Football and Mizzou Basketball. She was extremely loved by all her children and grandchildren, and she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything.

Mrs. Clawson is survived by her children: Fred, John, Mary, James, Cecilia, Thomas, Richard, Teresa, Stephen, Margaret, Michele, and Anita; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

Mrs. Clawson was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Austin; three sons, Charles, David, and Andrew; and two grandsons, Brett and David.

A Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 AM on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Montgomery City, MO. Father Augustine Okoli will officiate and interment was in the St. Mary's Cemetery near Montgomery City, MO. There will not be any visitation.
