Marvin Edward Jones, Sr., 87, of New Haven, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Marvin was born on March 1, 1937, in Mexico, Missouri, to Richard and Opal Jones.

He loved to work outdoors and worked as a carpenter most of his life. He loved to garden and do yard work. He served in the United States Navy.

He will be greatly missed by his family.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Wanda Jones; son, Marvin Jr.; two daughters, Jennifer and Kelley; eight grandkids, five great-grandkids, three brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jeremiah, a granddaughter, and six brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Missouri, with Pastor Robert Gentry officiating the services. Interment will follow in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Casketbearers include Trey Jones, Trenton Jones, Mike Rich, Brandon Rich, William Gessman, and Clifton McReaken. Honorary casketbearers are Mark Shramek, Wayne Shramek, and Leon Shramek.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Schlanker Funeral Home.
