Marjorie Marie (Freie) Blaue, 77, of Mexico, formerly of Montgomery City, passed away on December 5, 2025, at Lakeview Bend Memory Care in Mexico.

Marjorie was born on December 6, 1947, in Middletown, Missouri, to Carl Fredrick Freie and Mary Virginia (Shepard) Freie. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wellsville on December 28, 1947, and confirmed there on May 21, 1961. Her faith remained an important foundation throughout her life.

She graduated from Wellsville-Middletown R-I High School Class of 1965. Marjorie cherished her classmates and proudly remained active in the Class of 1965 reunions and activities for many years.

Marjorie began her career in 1965 as a legal secretary for attorney Max Oliver in Montgomery City. She later worked for the Montgomery County R-II School district for more than a decade, where her friendly presence and dedication were appreciated by staff and students alike. She went on to serve with the State of Missouri Division of Family Services in Montgomery City until her retirement, a role in which she touched many lives through her compassion and steady commitment to helping others.

In 1966, Marjorie married John Baker, and to this union she was blessed with two children, Nancy Jean (Baker) Morris and Karl Douglas Baker. She later married Melvin Williams Blaue on August 24, 2002, at Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville. Melvin preceded her in death on June 3, 2023.

Marjorie had a deep love of photography and found great joy in capturing the beauty around her. She loved nature and spending time outdoors.  Bird watching was one of her favorite pastimes, and she had a special fondness for hummingbirds. Above all, Marjorie treasured her family. She was immensely proud of them and cherished every moment spent together.

Marjorie's gentle heart, her appreciation for the simple wonders of life, and her steadfast love for her family and community will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Karl (Tammy) Baker of Montgomery City, Missouri; grandchildren: John Paul (Karen) Baker of St. Charles, Missouri, Zachary (Taylre) Baker of New Melle, Missouri, Sarah (Grant) Sanders of Troy, Missouri, Isaiah Baker of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Zoe Baker of Montgomery City, Missouri, Sydney (John Dawson) Seina of Columbia, Missouri, Sophie Muskopf of Columbia, Missouri, Troy Muskopf of Columbia, Missouri; five great-grandchildren; sisters: Carroll Sue McDermit of Mexico, Missouri, Janet (Charles) Schaefer of Montgomery City, Missouri; brother, Jimmy (Lyn) Freie of Seymour, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Williams Blaue, parents, Carl and Mary Freie, her daughter, Nancy Morris, and brothers-in-law, Sam Bishop and Robert McDermit.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church in Wellsville, Missouri, with Rev. Luke Wolters officiating. Interment will follow in the Montgomery City Cemetery.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, at the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
