Margaret Ann Hesterberg Duckett, 75, of Wellsville, MO, died on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, MO.
Margaret Ann Hesterberg Duckett was born June 13, 1945, in Montgomery County, MO, to Oscar Hesterberg and Ida Nagel Hesterberg. She graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School and was married to William Duckett Sr. and to this union four children were born, William, Johnny, Stacey, and Darla. Margaret was a loving caregiver, a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Margaret enjoyed working on crafts and while at Gamma Road Lodge, she would help others with their crafts and whatever else they needed, she enjoyed helping people. She once painted wooden trucks that received a blue ribbon at the Montgomery County Fair and later were distributed to Nicaragua. Margaret enjoyed reading her Bible and going to Church services at the nursing home. She loved visiting with her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Margaret is survived by her three children: William Duckett, Jr. and wife, Sue, of New Florence, MO; Stacey Duckett and wife, Sherri, of Montgomery City, MO; and Darla Ratliff and husband, Kenny, of Warrenton, MO; grandchildren: Julia Smith and husband, Shawn; Cole Duckett and wife, Shari; Taylor Duckett; Lauren Duckett; Adam Duckett; Mikayla Wright and Chris; and Megan Wright and fiancée, Austin; and great-grandchildren: Cash, Leighton, Annabelle, Lucy, Janie, Jameson, Dillon, Leanna, August, and Stacy. Also surviving are her brothers: Melvin Hesterberg and wife, Patsy, of New Florence, MO and Roy Hesterberg and wife, Barb, of Warrenton, MO; sister-in-law, Mary Hesterberg of Bellflower, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ida Nagel Hesterberg; husband; son, Johnny Duckett; brother, Delbert Hesterberg; and sister, Helen Bethel.
Margaret wished to be cremated and there will not be any services at this time.
