Margaret Marie Haley, 79, of Jefferson City, MO, died on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at the Villa Marie Care Center in Jefferson City, MO.

Margaret Marie Haley was born October 28, 1938 in McKittrick, MO, to John Doyle and Margaret Tean Hall Doyle. She married Damon Haley on March 27, 1957 in Big Spring, MO, and have been married over 61 wonderful years. Mrs. Haley was a hard worker. She worked at Samsonite Luggage in the factory for over 30 years and had previously worked at Jonesburg Shoe Factory. Mrs. Haley was a member of the Liberty Big Spring Baptist Church, she enjoyed quilting, watching and listening to the birds, traveling, reading, and going to the Boat with her sister. She loved being with all her family and her friends.

Mrs. Haley is survived by her husband, Damon Haley, of Jefferson City, MO; two daughters, Andrea Yancy of Jefferson City, MO and Wendy Haley of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren; six great-grand-children; two sisters: Doris Ellis and Dolly Greenwell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mrs. Haley was preceded in death by her parents, John and Tean Doyle; one daughter, Leslaie Powers; and seven brothers and sisters.

Memorial services were held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Brian Larkin officiated and interment was in the Liberty Cemetery near Shamrock, MO. Visitation was held on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home.
