Lynda Kay Tate, 76, of Wellsville, MO, formerly of Montgomery City, MO, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO.

Lynda Kay Tate was born December 24, 1945 in Montgomery City, MO, to William "Andy" Bryant Brandenburg and Berniece Gruber Brandenburg. She graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School and completed one year of cosmetology school.  Lynda married Dean Tate and to this union two children were born, Deana and Clay.  She enjoyed playing cards, laughing and acting silly; and being with all her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lynda is survived by her two children:  Deana Hale and husband, Kenny, of Wellsville, MO and Clay Tate and wife, Lori, of Montgomery City, MO; grandchildren: Kenna Kempf and husband, Jesse, of Montgomery City, MO; Khloe Hale of Montgomery City, MO; A. J. Schmidt of Montgomery City, MO; Gage Hale of Wellsville, MO; Michelle Stelle and husband, Colton, of Martinsburg, MO; Casey Pursiful of Martinsburg, MO; Kenny Hale and wife, Jen, of Warrenton, MO; and Matthew Hale of Sikeston, MO, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Mike Brandenburg and wife, Sheila of Montgomery City, MO, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, William "Andy" Bryant Brandenburg and Berniece Gruber Brandenburg; and one son, Robert William Tate.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Bethel Church, West of Montgomery City, MO.   Mike Brandenburg will officiate.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Bethel Church, West of Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers include A. J. Schmidt, Justin Baker, Pete Brandenburg, Greg Eikel, Jesse Kempf, and Kenny Hale.  Honorary casketbearer includes Gage Hale.
