Larry Cox, 64, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 AT 7:17 pm at his home surrounded by family.

Larry was born February 13, 1954 in Granite City, IL, to Arthur Erman and Henrietta Biggs Mathis Cox (later Palmer). He graduated from Montgomery County R-II High School in 1973 and was a Veteran of the United States Army. Larry was a member of the AmVets and volunteered lots of hours at the VFW Post in St. Louis, MO. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a love for farming. He had a genuine love for his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his long time girlfriend, Brenda Cedeck of Montgomery City, MO; two children: Jeremy Cox and wife, Jenny, of Montgomery City, MO and Jamie Hemeyer and husband, Todd, of Montgomery City, MO; grandchildren: Brittany Macaluso, Mason Hemeyer, Kara Hemeyer and Ruby Cox. Brenda's children: Lisa Kaminski and husband, Daniel, of Jonesburg, MO; John Welker of St. Louis, MO; Mark Welker of Holts Summit, MO; and Kim Hoskins and husband, Arthur, of St. Charles, MO; and numerous grandchildren. Larry is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Connie Barnett and husband, Barney, of St. Louis, MO; Alan Cox of Jacksonville, Florida; Julie Brandenburg and husband, Bob, of Montgomery City, MO; and George Palmer of Montgomery City, MO; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Cox; his mother, Henrietta Palmer and his "pops", George Michael Palmer, Jr., and sister-in-law, Jada Palmer.

Larry requested to be cremated.  A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 3:00 PM at 111 Highway V, Montgomery City, MO  63361.  Food and water was provided, please bring lawn chairs and beverage.
