LaVerne L. Meyer, 89, of Weldon Springs, MO, previously lived in Montgomery City, MO and Lake St. Louis, MO, died on Wednesday, July 05, 2017 at Breeze Park in Weldon Springs, MO.

LaVerne L. Meyer was born April 12, 1928 in St. Louis, MO, to Lawrence and Marie Niemeier. After graduating from High School she married Emil L. Meyer III who preceded in death . They were married many wonderful years and enjoyed doing everything together. Mrs. Meyer was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO; was also a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ Women's Auxiliary; a member of the Eastern Star; and of the Hawk Ridge Poker Players Club . She also enjoyed traveling in the later years with her son, Keith, and grandson, Brett, going on road trips to Cardinal Baseball Games as she was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan; enjoyed quilting; playing Words With Friends; and keeping up with everyone on Facebook. She loved spending time with all her family and friends.

Mrs. Meyer is survived by her son, Keith Meyer and his wife, Brenda (Shepard), of O'Fallon, MO; three grandchildren: Gina Hartman and husband, Tim, of High Hill, MO; Amanda "Mandy" Meyer of Montgomery City, MO; and Brett Meyer of Wentzville, MO; five great-grand-children: Carlee, Clara, Cassidy, Isaac, and Alex; sister, Marion Borgwald of Waco, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Marie Niemeier; husband, Emil Meyer III; son, Gary Meyer; Brother, Larry Niemeier; and brothers-in-law, Bert Borgwald and Ronald J. Meyer.

Memorial services were held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the St. John's United Church of Christ in High Hill, MO. The Reverend Don Deeker officiated. The family received friends from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM with an Eastern Star Service at 11:00 AM at the church.
