Larry "Wayne" Roach, 60, of Montgomery City, MO, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 22, 2018.
Wayne was born on June 21, 1957 in Wichita, KS, the first child of Larry Walker Roach and Anita "Louise" Parks. He was a graduate of the Montgomery County R-II High School Class of 1975. He married his love, Margaret Boos, on November 13, 1982. Together, they raised three daughters and worked hard to make their dreams of owning a home on a beautiful property come true. Wayne was a loyal family man, an avid sports fan, a hard worker, and a friend to many.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Margie; three daughters, Angela Russell (Tanner), Tracie Schofield (Chad), and Ashley Roach; three grandchildren, Colton Schofield, Jonah Russell, and Karlie Schofield; mother and stepfather, Louise and Mel Parks; father-in-law, James Boos; and six siblings, Anita Pickrell, Brad Roach, Cindy Hesterberg, Wanda Norris, Lori Stuhmeyer and Rick Parks.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Larry Walker Roach; stepmother, Obie Roach; mother-in-law, Madeleine Boos; and brother, Baby Boy Roach.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Gary Pillischafske officiated and interment was in the Bethel Cemetery near Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Jonathan Pickrell, Joe Pickrell, Josh Pickrell, Jordan Pickrell, Chad Schofield, and Tanner Russell. Honorary Casketbearers included Brad Roach and Joseph Leible.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association; the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation; the American Cancer Society; or to the Bethel Cemetery, c/o Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361.
