Larry Ernest Drewes, Sr., 70, of Williamsburg, MO, died on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his home in Williamsburg, MO.

Larry Ernest Drewes, Sr., was born February 11, 1948 in St. Louis, MO, to William Drewes and Ruth Radosevich Drewes. He graduated from Normandy High School in St. Louis, MO, and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving from September 12, 1967 until December 1, 1969. On April 18, 1970 he married Patricia Noel in St. Louis, MO. They were married over 48 wonderful years. Mr. Drewes retired from Unilever after working many years. He was a member of the Veteran's Post 153; a member of the O'Fallon VFW; he enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting things; and visiting with his family and friends.

Mr. Drewes is survived by his wife, Patricia Noel Drewes of Williamsburg, MO; three children: Veronica "Ronnie" Drewes of Williamsburg, MO; Larry Drewes of Ashland, MO; and Scott Drewes and wife, Heather, of Iowa; six grandchildren: Kirstyn, Wyatt, Kyra, Kyle, Trinity, and Gunny and wife, Tiffany; one great-grandchild, Saige; two sisters: Jo Ann Rupp of St. Louis, MO; and Barbara Desmond of St. Louis, MO; and one brother, Bobby Drewes and wife, Karen, of Arizona. He was a loving uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, and a friend to many.

Mr. Drewes was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sonny Drewes; and one sister, Ruth Eidson.

Funeral services with full military honors will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Augustine Okoli will officiate and private graveside services will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
