Juanita Illene Workman, 89, of Silex, MO, formerly of Montgomery City, MO, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the Silex Community Care Center in Silex, MO.

Juanita Illene Shackelford was born on July 1, 1927 in Tuscumbia, MO, to Ernest and Easter Shackelford. She graduated from Tuscumbia High School. She married Henry Paul Workman on December 12, 1947. After moving to Montgomery City from Eldon, MO, in 1965, she worked for many years at Binkley Company in Warrenton, MO.

Mrs. Workman is survived by three daughters: Linda Medlock (Bob) of Lake Ozark; Sherry Austin (David) of Jefferson City; and Paula Thornhill of Bellflower; Grandchildren: Rebecca Gilley, Paul Callison; Davey Austin; Amanda Taylor; Christy Bunch; Jodi King; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Mitch Workman; a grandson, Cory Rock; a brother, Leonard Shackelford; and two sisters: Mary Body and Gladys Lucas.

Private memorial services will be held at Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett, MO.
