Juanita Mae Andrews Jurgesmeyer, 86, of Mexico, MO, died on Friday, December 07, 2018, at the Frene Valley Care Center in Hermann, MO.
Juanita Mae Jurgesmeyer was born on April 20, 1932 in Buell, MO, to Russell Andrews and Grace Mae Seal Andrews. In 1950 she married William Gene Jurgesmeyer and to this union four children were born, Richard, Kenneth, Donna and David. She worked at Continental Bag Factory, ran a restaurant in Mexico, MO, and took care of her family. Mrs. Jurgesmeyer was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, enjoyed quilting, fishing, cooking and canning. She will be missed by all her family and many friends.
Mrs. Jurgesmeyer is survived by three children: Richard "Dicky" Allan Jurgesmeyer and wife, Glenda, of Mexico, MO; Kenneth Gene Jurgesmeyer and wife, Sheila of Paris, MO; and Donna Marie Shamblin of Williamsburg, MO; and six grandchildren: Tracey Renee Darby and husband, Randy; Rachel Jurgesmeyer; Mitch Jurgesmeyer and wife, Kristin; Lisa Thurman and husband, Eddy; Patrick Shamblin and wife, Brittney; and Andrew Jurgesmeyer. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchilden; one sister, Mary Atterberry and husband, Ralph of Montgomery City, MO; one brother, Floyd Andrews and wife, Nellie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mrs. Jurgesmeyer was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Grace Mae Seal Andrews; son, David Jurgesmeyer; daughter-in-law, Judy Jurgesmeyer; one sister, Margaret Harrison; and four brothers: Virgil, Clarence, Paul and Vernon Andrews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Noon at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Interment was in the Montgomery City Cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Casketbearers included Richard Jurgesmeyer, Kenneth Jurgesmeyer, Harold VanSicle, Phil Johnson, Kevin Johnson, and Wayne Andrews: Honorary casketbearers included Patrick Shamblin, Mitch Jurgesmeyer, Andrew Jurgesmeyer, Wade Andrews, and Rusty Harrison.
