Joyce Ann
Hawkins
Aug 18, 1947 — Mar 26, 2018
Bellflower
Joyce Ann Hawkins, 70, of Bellflower, MO, died on Monday, March 26, 2018, at the St. Andrews New Florence Care Center in New Florence, MO.
Joyce was born August 18, 1947 to Efton and Viola Collins Colbert in Olney, MO. She spent most all of her life cooking for her family or at her cafes. She treasured this time frame, one never to be forgotten. She married Joe Lansche early in life and they had three children. JoAnn, Joey, and Jeff. She later married Butch Hawkins and they had two children, Shannon and Kyle. Joyce also shared several years, with companion, Ron Smith. Joyce has lived in Bellflower since the early 1970's. Prior to that, she lived in Hawk Point, MO. Her children and their families were of utmost importance to her. She recalls of them being little, starting school, graduation, getting married, having a beautiful family of their own, where has the time gone. She longed to have them home with her again. Of course she would have several to add to her list, as the family has grown.
Joyce leaves to survive: daughter, Jo Ann Lansche; Sons: Joey Lansche and wife, Shelley; Jeff Lansche and friend, Nancy; and Kyle Hawkins and wife, Carmen; Grandchildren, Derek Lansche and wife, Angie; Paige Hill, Kayla Hill, Jordan Lansche, Jason Lansche, Jasmine Lansche, Jim Hawkins, Levi Hawkins, Karli Hawkins, and Anthony Hawkins. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren: Lacey, Felicity and Ellie; one brother, Charles Colbert and wife, Nancy; Sisters: Bonnie Bolte and Sue Colbert; and many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joe Lansche and Butch Hawkins; companion, Ron Smith; son, Shannon Hawkins; and two nephews.
A celebration of life will start at 11:00 AM on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Bellflower Community Building in Bellflower, MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Down Syndrome Foundation, c/o Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361.
