Joseph DiSalvo, 90, of Wellsville, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, at his home.

Joseph was born on November 5, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Frank and Maria (Foti) DiSalvo. He was a graduate of Hadley Technical High School. In September 1952 he joined the United States Air Force and served 4 years. During his time with the Air Force, he was a member of the 803rd transportation squadron and performed duties in the automotive maintenance shops. On June 30, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, he married his loving wife, Marion Alice (Wehmeier) DiSalvo.

He was a mechanic and owned his own shop, DiSalvo's Auto Repair, in St. Louis, Missouri. Even outside of the shop he was always doing some type of mechanical work, repairing everything from lawn mowers to tractors. There wasn't much that Joseph couldn't fix. He also enjoyed going fishing, and he loved to build model airplanes and boats. His home was riddled with the fruits of his labor, with a son often an accomplice to these builds.

Mr. DiSalvo is survived by his wife, Marion Alice DiSalvo; his children: Helen Marie DiSalvo, Dale Edward DiSalvo, Gerard Anthony DiSalvo; grandchildren: Dana Blase, Anthony (Katrina) Blase, Elizabeth (Scott) McGinnis, Susan Blase, Christina Blase, Sarah Blase, Matthew Blase, Nicholas Blase, Victoria DiSalvo, Dylan Rollo; 15 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Angela Rodriguez; and sister, Fannie Cafazza.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Maria (Foti) DiSalvo, a son Joseph Lester DiSalvo and daughter Dawn Elizabeth DiSalvo, and his granddaughter, Joleana Marion DiSalvo.
