Jon Alan Kundl, 63, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the SSM/Audrain Hospital in Mexico, MO.

Jon Alan Kundl was born December 29, 1953 in St. Louis, MO, to Joseph and Margie Kundl. He graduated from Wentzville High School in Wentzville, MO. Mr. Kundl retired from Verizon Wireless in Weldon Springs, MO and now worked for the Montgomery County Developmental Disabilities Assistance Board in Montgomery City, MO. Mr. Kundl married Ruth Guthrie on November 18, 2006. They just celebrated their 10th anniversary. Mr. Kundl enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Kundl is survived by his wife, Ruth Guthrie-Kundl of Montgomery City, MO; two children: Richard Callaway of Winfield, MO; and Maggie Burris and husband, Geron, of Marthasville, MO; six grand-children: Cassandra Semonis and husband, Jordan, of Washington, MO; Zachary Burris of St. Clair, MO; Joseph, Courtney and Andrew Burris of Marthasville, MO; and Amanda Jones of New Haven, MO; and three great-grandchildren: LilyAnn, Eagle and Kinly. Also surviving are two brothers: Eric Kundl and wife, Debbie, of Sandy, Utah and Paul Kundl and wife, Ramona, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and nieces, Malory, Marrissa, Keri Anne, and Kelsey; a brother-in-law, Joseph Guthrie of Gilbert, Arizona, and many friends.

Mr. Kundl was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Kloeber and a grandson, Robert Mason.

A Memorial services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Dr. Marvin White officiated. The family received friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
