Bowsy (John James Meyer), 66, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at SSM St. Joseph West Hospital at Lake St. Louis, MO.

John James Meyer was born April 5, 1954 in St. Charles, MO, to John W. Meyer and Jewell Williams Meyer. He graduated from Francis Howell School District and worked in electrical maintenance until he retired. Mr. Meyer married his beloved Tweety (Teresa Crump) on December 6, 1973 in St. Charles, MO. They have been married for over 47 wonderful years. Mr. Meyer attended Reach Community Church in Montgomery City, MO; was great at electrical work, he enjoyed working with horses, and was a jack of all trades and a great problem solver and trouble shooter. Mr. Meyer loved God, loved his family and would do anything for anyone. He dedicated his life to God and his ministries.

Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, Teresa Crump Meyer of Montgomery City, MO; his children and grandchildren: Chris and Jeana Meyer of Montgomery City, MO (Tanner and Cailyn, Eli and Makenna, Anna, Alli, and Christian); Phillip and Trisha Meyer of Warrenton, MO (Kelsey and John, Hunter, Caidence, and Cole); Jared and Desiree Meyer of Affton, MO (Audrina); Jacob and Kim Meyer of Montgomery City, MO (Tommy, Cruz, Luke, Zion, Mariah, and Zoe); Tabitha and Justin Bleile of Wright City, MO (Collin, Brooklyn, and Wyatt); Josiah and Rachel Meyer of Moscow Mills, MO (Jonah, Ezekiel, Asher, and Levi); Jeremiah and Christie Meyer of Foristell, MO (Carl, Fernie, Layden, Jude, Lincoln, and Emma); Joel Meyer of Montgomery City, MO; and Talitha and Calvin Johnston of Winfield, MO (Genesis and Promise). Also surviving are his brothers and sisters: Dan and Cathy Meyer of Florida; Jim and Sue Meyer of Winfield, MO; Cindy and Gary Cooper of St. Charles, MO; Rocky Meyer of St. Charles, MO; Ted and Kim Meyer of Warrenton, MO; Julie and Bill Roth of St. Charles, MO; and Bonnie Roeder of St. Peters, MO; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Larry and Gail Crump of St. Charles, MO; Terry and Sue Crump of O'Fallon, MO' Brenda Ritchey of Blue Springs, MO; and Randy and Sandy Crump of Blue Springs, MO; Roger and Vicki Crump of St. Charles, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mr. Meyer was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Meyer and Jewell Williams Meyer; sister, Carlin Chiodoni; Father-in-law and Mother-in-law: Ivan and Ethel Crump and Brother-in-law, Albert Crump.

Visitation will be held from 4PM-8PM on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at the Reach Community Church in Montgomery City, MO. Immediate family visitation will be held from 10AM-11AM prior to Celebration of Life service. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11AM on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Reach Community Church in Montgomery City, MO. Reverend Chris Meyer will officiate.
