Joe White Crane, 83, of Williamsburg, MO, died on Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at the Presbyterian Manor in Fulton, MO.

Joe White Crane was born January 11, 1933 in Fulton, MO, to Samuel Harrison Crane and Bernice Olive White Crane. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1951 and then graduated from the University of Missouri in 1956 with a Bachelors in Industrial Arts Education and a Masters in Administration in 1960. Mr. Crane married Marlene King on August 16, 1959 in Kansas City, MO, and they were married for over 56 wonderful years until she preceded him in death on December 4, 2015. Mr. Crane was Principal of the Hatton McCredie Elementary School from 1972 until he retired in 1993. Mr. Crane also owned Crane's Country Store and Crane's Museum in Williamsburg, MO. He was a member of the Old Auxvasse Nine Mile Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, MO; was very active in the Williamsburg Community; and was the writer of the Williamsburger News Letter after his wife's death. He loved collecting things and enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Crane was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. He loved spending time with all of his family and many friends.

Mr. Crane is survived by one son, David Crane and wife, Amy of Fulton, MO; two grandsons: Trask Crane and Mason Crane, both of Fulton, MO; and by many friends.

Mr. Crane was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Bernice White Crane and one brother, Bill Crane.

Memorial services were held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Old Auxvasse Nine Mile Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg, MO. Interment was in the Williamsburg Cemetery in Williamsburg, MO. Visitation was held from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Sunday at the Church.
