Jo Ann Weitkamp
Jo Ann Weitkamp, 85, of New Florence, MO, died on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the St. Andrew's New Florence Care Center in New Florence, MO, surrounded by family.
Jo Ann Toth Weitkamp was born in St. Charles, MO, on July 31, 1934 to Julius John Toth, Sr. and Marie Pyle Toth. She married Lloyd J. Weitkamp on April 6, 1950 in St. Charles, MO, and were married over 52 wonderful years until he preceded her in death on April 16, 2002. Together they worked hard farming and raising hogs and cattle. Mrs. Weitkamp also worked in Hermann, MO, at the shoe factory and had previously worked at MFA Restaurant. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Weitkamp would do anything for anyone and loved for people to send her on missions. She enjoyed shopping, going to garage sales, collecting cows and visiting with all her family and many friends.
Mrs. Weitkamp is survived by two daughters: Katie Johnson and Betty Young and husband, Ralph, all of New Florence, MO; one son, Lloyd Henry Weitkamp and wife, Stephanie, of Warrenton, MO; grandchildren: Mike Johnson of Montgomery City, MO; Andy Johnson and wife, Amy, of New Florence, MO; Sarah Chilton and husband, Jonathan, of Holts Summit, MO; and Daniel Young and wife, Jessica, of Warrenton, MO; great-grandchildren: Curtis Taylor Johnson, (step) Landon Talbot, Emmy Ann Chilton, Cooper Wayne Chilton, Lucy Grace Young, and Layla Jane Young. Also surviving is her brother, Julius John Toth, Jr. and wife, Vi, of Wentzville, MO; two sisters: Rosie Reutner of St. Charles, MO; and Barbara (Bo) Wiechens of St. Charles, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mrs. Weitkamp was preceded in death by her parents, Julius John Toth Sr. and Marie Pyle Toth; husband, Lloyd J. Weitkamp; brother-in-law, John Reutner; and two grandchildren, Kevin Johnson and Derek Whitehead.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO. Mr. Tony Mattox will officiate. Casketbearers include Mike and Andy Johnson, Daniel Young, Lloyd Henry Weitkamp, Ralph Young and Landon Talbot. Honorary casketbearers are Howard Hollensteiner and Curtis Taylor Johnson.
