Jesse Joseph Young (Fireball), 89, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his son's home in Montgomery City, MO.

Jesse Joseph Young was born on February 20, 1932 in New Florence, MO, to Everett Young and Edna Franklin Young.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army.  Mr. Young married Alice Gertrude Milner on April 26, 1952 and they were married for over 58 years before she preceded him in death on July 15, 2010.  Mr. Young worked at A P Green for over 48 years as a pallet tier.  He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Wellsville, MO, enjoyed mowing, gardening, making bird feeders, loved green tractors and Coca Cola, peppermints and cookies.  He was a hard worker and was always on the go.  He will be missed by all his family and friends.

Mr. Young is survived by his two children:  Steve Young and wife, Wanda, of Montgomery City, MO; and Chris Young of Upland, CA; two grandchildren: Jennifer McKim and husband, Kevin, of Jefferson City, MO; and Jamie Chisholm and husband, Ian of Montgomery City, MO; great-grandchildren: Drayke, Owen, and Liam; sister, Martha and sister-in-law, Aline Craven of Montgomery City, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Young and Edna Franklin Young; wife, Alice Gertrude Milner Young; brothers and sisters:  Donald, David, Edward, Marylee, Jean and Lana.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, North of Montgomery City, MO.  Reverend Jonathan Bradley will officiate.
