Jeremiah John Bushdiecker, 42, of Rhineland, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1983, in St. Charles, Missouri, to John Bushdiecker and Sandy (Townshend) Boyd.

Jeremiah's greatest blessing in life was his family. At just 17 years old, he met the love of his life and best friend, Rebecca Lynn (Allen) Bushdiecker, who was 15. What began as a young romance blossomed into a beautiful life together. The couple was united in marriage on January 2, 2007, and shared 26 wonderful years together, building a home filled with love and laughter while raising their two beloved children, Gavin and Olivia. Jeremiah was endlessly proud of his wife and children, and there was nothing he treasured more than being their husband and father.

Jeremiah proudly served his country in the United States Army from 2004 until his honorable discharge in 2023. During his military service, he completed two tours, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, and was awarded numerous medals in recognition of his courage, dedication, and faithful service. His love for his country and his patriotism remained with him throughout his life

Following his military service, Jeremiah became known as an exceptionally talented mechanic. Family and friends often referred to him as "MacGyver" because there was seemingly nothing he couldn't build, repair, or figure out. Gifted with an incredible mind, he had a unique way of seeing solutions where others saw problems. His resourcefulness, intelligence, and determination were admired by everyone who knew him.

While his accomplishments were many, it was Jeremiah's heart that people will remember most. He possessed a smile that could brighten anyone's day and a sense of humor that was impossible not to love. Sarcastic, quick-witted, and always ready with a joke, he had a remarkable ability to make those around him laugh, even during difficult times. Beneath his playful personality was a man of unwavering honor, strength, compassion, and kindness. He loved deeply, cared wholeheartedly, and gave his family and friends the very best of himself.

Jeremiah was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished son, and caring brother whose life was defined by his loyalty, selflessness, and unconditional love. He leaves behind a legacy of courage, laughter, and unwavering devotion that will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.

Though words can never fully capture the kind of man Jeremiah was or the impact he made on those around him, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He was truly one of a kind—honorable, patriotic, brilliant, loving, and unforgettable. He will be deeply missed every day and lovingly remembered always.

Jeremiah is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lynn Bushdiecker, of the home; two children, Gavin and Olivia Bushdiecker, of the home; siblings: Marty Bushdiecker, David Bushdiecker, Jennifer (Matt) Turner, Sam (Christina) Bushdiecker, Joey (Stephanie) Bushdiecker, Jake (Erica) Bushdiecker; his mother, Sandy Boyd and stepfather, Chris Boyd; stepmother, Karen Meyers; Stepbrother, Clayton Meyers; Stepsister, Ashley (Jared) Meyers; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Bushdiecker, and his stepfather, Phil Ward.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, Missouri. 

Military Honors will take place at 5:00 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund established for the care and education of Jeremiah's children, checks may be made out to Rebecca Bushdiecker, and sent in care of Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, Missouri 63361
