Janice M. Mahaney, 72, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the University of Missouri and Clinics in Columbia, MO.

Janice Marie Mahaney was born in the state of California on September 28, 1945. She worked for different employers throughout her life; once you met Janice you would never forget her; she loved life.

Janice was an active member of Everybody's Church (Harper Chapel Methodist Church) in Montgomery City, MO.

Janice is survived by two daughters, Diane Jacks of Sacramento, CA and Tammy Mahaney of Moscow Mills, MO; and one son, Carl David Mahaney and wife, Mayetta, of Columbia, MO; nine grandchildren: Roxanne Murdock of Sacramento, CA; Angela Caffey and Chariessa Mahaney of Wright City, MO; Vanessa Grady of Houston, TX; Floyd and Cameron Mahaney of Montgomery City, MO; Yolanda English and Clarissa Collier of Columbia, MO; and Lakeisha English of Warrenton, MO; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Thomas of Montgomery City, MO, these sisters were inseparable; her significant other, Alfred Mozee of Montgomery City, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Janice also loved her two dogs, Pepper and Boo-boo.

Janice Marie Mahaney was preceded in death by her parents; son, Russell Wayne Mahaney; sister, Shirley Gillette; three brothers: Clarence, Roy, and Harry Jacks; and many close family members and friends.

Most knew Janice as "Snookie" and she will forever remain in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The Reverend Doctor Ayanna Shivers will officiate and interment will be in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30 PM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.
