Jane Marie Menefee, 74, of Hazelwood, MO, died on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, surrounded by her family.
Jane Marie Menefee was born in St. Louis, MO, on November 11, 1942, to John William Menefee and Mary Louise Griffith Menefee. She worked at McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) from 1964 until she retired in 1998 as an Administrative Assistant. She enjoyed reading, scrabble, traveling, was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, decorating, going to movies, and loved pets and watching dog shows. Ms. Menefee loved being with her family and friends, especially her grandson, James.
Ms. Menefee is survived by her daughter, Marijon Stern of Hazelwood, MO; grandson, James A. Stern of Hazelwood, MO; sister, Mary Lee Parker and husband, Ollie, of Gladwin, Michigan; her twin sister, Joyce Lewis and husband, Jerry, of Gladwin, Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, friends, and her puppy dog, Yadi.
Ms. Menefee was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Mary Louise Griffith Menefee; and one brother, John Menefee.
Memorial services were held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Mr. Tony Mattox officiated and interment of ashes was in the Montgomery City Cemetery in Montgomery City, MO. Visitation was held on Saturday from Noon until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. Honorary casketbearers included James Stern, Brad Parker, Kevin Parker, Tim Branstetter, and John Menefee IV.
