Jane Ellen Hendrix, 74, of New Florence, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at St. Andrews in New Florence.

Jane was born in Mexico, Missouri, on April 9, 1950. She was the daughter of Harlen Harold Hendrix and Faye Louise (Vaughn) Hendrix.

After high school, Jane continued her education at Central Missouri University in Warrensburg, Missouri, for 5 years. Jane lived a vibrant life, balancing work, education, and personal interests with a positive spirit. She had diverse career experiences in retail, as a waitress, and as a substitute teacher, giving her a versatile skill set. Her hobbies—coloring, crafts, and cross-stitching—reflected her creative and nurturing side, and her sense of humor was a cherished trait among her friends and family. Even through sadness she was able to bring a smile to the faces of those around her. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, Missouri.

Jane is survived by two brothers: Paul Hendrix and Bruce Hendrix and his family. She is also survived by her many cherished friends at St. Andrews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlen Harold and Faye Louise Hendrix.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Montgomery City, Missouri, with Reverend Lynn Quist officiating.
