James "Jim" Paul Welbes, 79, of Williamsburg, MO, formerly of Orange City, Florida, died at his home on January 19, 2018.

James Paul Welbes was born in Michigan to Lawrence John Welbes and Lucy McCardle Welbes. He graduated high school in 1957 and was a United State Marine Veteran. Mr. Welbes married Connie Marie Kissinger on October 26, 1987 in Tennessee and have been married for over 30 wonderful years. Mr. Welbes was a skilled tradesman for GM and a very hard worker. He repaired homes, worked on old cars and tractors, and enjoyed fishing and guns.

Mr. Welbes is survived by his wife, Connie Marie Kissinger Welbes of Williamsburg, MO; five daughters, Jackie Welbes Weaver and husband, Daniel; Cindy Kaply and husband, Mike; Dawn VanDam and husband, Dave; Kristeen Cagle and fiancée, Andy Davis; and Elisha Cagle and fiancée, Jonathan Connelly; and grandchildren: Shane Farley, Logan Weaver, Joshua VanDam, Christopher VanDam, Matthew VanDam, Jordan Russell, Alyssia Davis, and Tallia Davis. Also surviving are seven brothers: Robert Welbes, Clarence Welbes, Gerry Welbes, Richard Welbes, Harold Welbes, Donald Welbes and Douglas Welbes; one sister, Betty Gutt; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Welbes was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence John Welbes and Lucy McCardle Welbes; brother, John Welbes; and two sisters, Margaret and Judy.

Mr. Welbes will be cremated and there will not be any services at this time.
