James Dale Mincher, 40, of New Florence, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025.

He was born on January 31, 1985, in Troy, Missouri, to Clyde William Mincher and Mary Bee (Henderson) Overkamp.

He was the proud father of Jake Mincher, whom he loved deeply and wholeheartedly.

James was a true outdoorsman who found joy, peace, and purpose in the natural world. Fishing was his absolute favorite thing to do — a passion he shared often with his many friends and loved ones. He was happiest near the water, rod in hand, surrounded by good company and the quiet calm of nature. He also enjoyed hunting and embraced just about anything that allowed him to be outside.

Skilled with his hands and proud of it, James was a talented mechanic who could fix almost anything. He took pride in every project he touched. His ability to build, repair, and understand how things worked was more than a skill — it was part of his identity.

He is survived by his beloved son, Jake Mincher; father and step-mother, Clyde William and Irene Mincher; mother, Mary Bee Overkamp; brother, Bill (Missy) Mincher; nieces, Taylor and Emily Mincher; and grandmother, Ona Jolene "Jo" Henderson.

He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends – too many to list, but all of whom held a special place in his heart.

James was preceded in death by his step-father, Steve Overkamp, and grandparents: James "Jim" Earl Henderson, Claude Mincher, and Mona Mincher McCain.

A Celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Jonesburg Lions Park in Jonesburg, Missouri, 119 W Booneslick Road.
