James Eugene McIntosh, 76, of Auxvasse, MO, died on Friday, February 11, 2022 at his home.

James was born on July 18, 1945, in Redford, Missouri, the son of Floyd McIntosh and Pauline Beck. He served in the United States Army. After he was honorably discharged from the Army he went on to become a machinist in the union for many years. In his younger years James loved the outdoors, he spent his days hunting, fishing, and camping.

Mr. McIntosh is survived by two sisters: Joyce Byington of Auxvasse and Judy (Dave) April of Lafayette, Colorado; nieces and nephews: Judy (Tom) Ebert of Old Monroe, Missouri, Barb Lasher of Troy, Missouri, Kim (Bill) Reichard of York, Pennsylvania, Dan (Barbara) April of St. Louis, Missouri, Fred (Wanda) Byington of Auxvasse, Missouri, Rod Byington of Auxvasse, Missouri, Tim (Rachel) April of Colorado, and Nicole (Bryan) Ashcraft of Troy, Missouri; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd McIntosh and Pauline Beck, and his brother-in-law, Fred R. Byington.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.  The Reverend Thomas Murphy will officiate and interment with full Military Honors will be in the Montgomery City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home.
