James "Jim" Dean Wisdom, 62, of Wright City, MO, formerly of Montgomery City, MO, died on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
James Dean Wisdom was born on May 23, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, to Donald L. Wisdom, Sr. and Irma L. Spoonhourer Wisdom. He graduated high school in 1977 in Hartford, MI. Jim married Cheryl Franzen in Montgomery City, MO, and have been married for over 39 wonderful years. Jim worked at CJ Products, Inc. since March of 1995, his latest job being shop foreman. Jim was a member of the Bellflower Volunteer Fire Department for 11 years 1991-2002; a first responder from 1996-2009; Montgomery County Fire Protection District for 7 years 2002-2009; was a Bellflower Alderman for two years; was The Bellflower "Whistling Mayor" for four years; a member of the Bellflower Community Club; the Bellflower Historical Committee; NWTF Boonslick Trial Gobblers for 10 years; 4-H Archery Trainer Shooting Sports; a mentor to many kids who became hunting buddies and very special friends; and a very special group of friends they are called the 59rs. Jim was a very well liked and loved man, who would help whoever needed it. Jim will be dearly missed by his family and all his special friends.
Jim is survived by his wife, Cheryl Franzen Wisdom; children: Nichole Borgers and husband, Jeff; Samantha Thalhammer and husband, Thomas; and Shauna Curless and husband, Nathan; grandchildren: Amalia Dean Curless and Jake Daniel Borgers; and God Daughter, Aimie Brendel; Also surviving is his father and step-mother, Donald L. Wisdom, Sr., and Mary Wisdom; siblings: Juanita Wisdom, Emett Wisdom, Veronica Reynolds and husband, Daryl, Tammy Davis, Pennie Chowning and Donald L. Wisdom, Jr.; Brother-in-law, Bruce Blackford; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Irma L. Spoonhourer and sister, Bella Blackford.
Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home. Reverend Robert Amundsen will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jonesburg Optimist Club or to the Montgomery County 4-H, c/o Schlanker Funeral Home, 207 Danville Road, Montgomery City, MO 63361.
