Henry Paul Wilson, son of Ruth Pearl Dix Wilson and Frank Harold Wilson, was born in Jonesburg, Missouri on May 6, 1919 and passed away on March 5, 2016 at the age of 96.

He attended Jonesburg rural schools through the eighth grade.

He spent his early years living on a family farm in rural Jonesburg and caring for his grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Dix, until her passing.

On March 2, 1948 he married Marie Christine Winter, who preceded him in death on September 10, 1958. Together they were active in the Jonesburg Methodist Church. To this union were born two daughters, Mary Etta and Arlene Marie.

He enjoyed farming the same farm for 50 years. He saw much of the countryside while selling eggs. He also worked as a carpenter building houses including his own second farm house, the Jonesburg Methodist Church, and the church's parsonage.

On May 21, 1961 Paul married Jane Etta Alice Finley Coleman whose daughter was Frances Jane. They continued living on his farm near Jonesburg until they fully retired in 1999 and moved to Montgomery City.

He was a member of the Jonesburg United Methodist Church and was the Sunday School Superintendent.

Through the years Jane and Paul volunteered for the Jonesburg Christian Alliance, Bishop's Convocation, The Festival of Sharing, the annual Bike-A-Thon, transported patients from the Jonesburg Nursing Home to doctors' appointments and delivered Meals on Wheels.

He enjoyed spending time with, and bragging about, his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Marie, three brothers Howard, Robert, and Charles, second wife Jane, and son-in-law Michael Schroeder.

He is survived by daughters Mary Etta and husband Allan Kelly, Arlene Marie Schroeder, step-daughter Frances Jane and husband Gary Garrett; five grandchildren Doug and wife Dana Schroeder; Chuck Schroeder and Wayne Oxborrow; Stacey and husband Pat Laughlin; Kelli Marie and Emily Kelly; six great-grandchildren Trenton, Camden, Hudson, Emersyn, and Fallon Schroeder; McKenzie Laughlin; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at the United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Montgomery City, MO.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, at the United Methodist-Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the Jonesburg City Cemetery in Jonesburg, MO.
