Helen Frances Reese Cullom, 77, of Montgomery City, MO, died on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Boone Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO.

Helen Frances Reese Cullom was born December 7, 1943 to Louis and Rosa Sanker Reese in Warrenton, MO.  She was the 4 ^th child out of 5.  Helen married Tom A. Cullom on August 7, 1966 in Warrenton, MO, making their home where Tom was raised.  They were married for 54 wonderful years.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montgomery City, MO.

Helen graduated from Cosmetology school in St. Louis, MO.  Helen was a beautician in Montgomery City. She styled hair for several people at her own home, even doing some after passing.  Later on, she did manicures and pedicures for Julie Topel Worsham and different nursing homes, until finally retiring her scissors to just her family.

Helen loved being a housewife, mother, grandmother and loved her family very much.  She enjoyed canning, flowers and arts and crafts.  Even making a mini hot air balloon, bride and groom dolls, along with mini matching wedding party for Tom and Jessica's wedding.  She was always creating something new with her sewing machine.

Her greatest love was her granddaughter, Deserea.  She was the light of her life.  She was always ready trying anything she made, diabetic or not, when she opened her bakery.  Helen told everyone about her, whether she knew them or not.

Suvvivors include her husband, Tom of the home; one son, Tom, Jr. and wife, Jessica, of Hannibal., MO; one granddaughter, Deserea Cullom of Hannibal, MO; sisters: Levera Dieckman of Warrenton, MO; Goldie Woodside and Ron of Alhamba, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Rosa Reese; an infant daughter, Cheryl Cullom; one sister, Gloria; one brother, Kenny Reese and wife, Mary; one nephew, Gary Ehman; and one brother-in-law, Emerson Dieckman.

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at the Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City, MO.  The Reverend Thomas Murphy will officiate and interment will be in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, North of Montgomery City, MO.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday from  11:00 AM until the time of service at the Schlanker Funeral Home.
